We're a couple of college students who have been best friends since middle school. We have lots of things in common, and both of us are graduates of the World School International Forum (WS) founded by Kanto International Senior High School. Vic (박미소) decided to start the blog to keep in touch with her WS friends and explain what life growing up in the USA is like so that foreigners could get a better idea - instead of forming opinions about American teenagers based on the movies (or shows on MTV). Vic soon realized that she would like a second opinion/moral support from a good friend who would understand her situation (trying to explain things to fellow WS graduates and other foreigners), so she asked Dillon to help her out. Dillon agreed and suggested the blog do a normal weekly posting about something that interested them both - music/entertainment - and that's how Friday Awesome Music & Entertainment (FAME) was born. Vic posts more often than Dillon because she happens to have more time, but Dillon contributes when he can.
Our Blog Goal:
The Life and Times of a(n)... aims to explain USA culture to the rest of the world. We want to tear down the "typical American stereotype" that most foreigners think of when they see an American. We also want to answer any questions foreigners have about the states. However, we do not represent the total population of United States citizens. We are only two citizens, and we are only able to share our viewpoints with the world. ... We also have fun personal segments and music/entertainment critiques just so we can express ourselves. Hopefully you'll enjoy reading/watching our posts. But if you don't, then offer constructive criticism or just don't comment. We do not appreciate trolls.

humid weather; icy roads; impolite people; almost all forms of coffee; extremely greasy foods; artificial flavoring; food that never expires (aka Twinkies); the sound of nails on a chalkboard; getting her pant legs wet; knapsack sweat; things which are left incomplete (half-a** work); the refusal to learn new things; instruments which are out of tune; large, pushy crowds; most fizzy/carbonated beverages; and alcoholic beverages

Listening to music – most genres. Languages. Playing music: cello. Tennis, driving, cats, OCEAN, and thunderstorms, except when driving. Disney, yes males can watch it, it’s called nostalgia. Rodgers and Hammerstein. Old things: movies, cars, history, and music. Wit, reading, logic, and sympathy and the sun.
Dillon (Dilón) Dislikes:
Animosity, Saruman, the Ring of Power…what?, that thing seriously messes with one's head. Greasy food, bad music, all tobacco products -sorry Bilbo and Gandalf,- and procrastination.
